Cuttack: Odisha will host the 21st Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship, starting July 17.
The government has signed an MoU with Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and Odisha State Table Tennis Association (OSTTA) for the six-day championship to be held here. A total of 14 countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, England, Scotland, Wales, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and Nigeria, will participate.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who along with Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera was present on the occasion, said that the championship was an important step in promoting sports, especially table tennis in the state.
