Khurda: Odisha Vigilance on Tuesday apprehended Vital Statistical Clerk of Haladia Community Health Centre (CHC) in Odisha’s Khurda district while he was allegedly accepting Rs 5,000 bribe.
The clerk has been identified as Anup Kumar Satapathy.
Accoridng to sources, the Vigilance team laid a trap and caught Satapathy while he was accepting the bribe amount from a person for processing of application and issuance of a death certificate of his late grandparents.
A case has been registered in this connection under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018. Further investigation is underway.
