Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Tuesday directed the state government to complete the construction work of the three chariots for the ensuing Rath Jatra in Puri by June 22.
The court, in response to a public interest litigation (PIL), directed Advocate General Ashok Parija to ensure that the construction work is completed on or before the scheduled date.
The Advocate General in his reply told the court that the construction work of the three chariots is in full swing and will be completed by June 22.
Rath Yatra of the sibling deities is scheduled to begin from June 23.
