The Odisha government has written to district collectors and district magistrates (DMs) to complete the delimitation of wards and reservation of seats in respect of municipal bodies by December 13.
The move will enable the State Election Commission to take steps for preparation of the electoral roll and holding of general elections to municipalities/NACs.
While State Election Commissioner AP Padhi had a video-conference with Collectors on panchayat polls on October 22, the Odisha government on Monday asked DMs to complete the process of fresh delimitation of wards and reservation of seats of 105 municipalities/NACs by December 13.
