Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Monday directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to complete construction of a ramp for the physically-challenged devotees within a month.
The ramp will be constructed from Uttara Dwara (north gate) of the temple through which the physically-challenged will be taken inside the temple premises on wheel chairs.
The directive of the court came during the submission of the status report of the ASI on the post-Fani repair work of the temple by amicus curiae NK Mohanty.
The ASI, in its report, had mentioned about completion of all repair work, including the Jagmohan, Nata Mandap and Garbha Griha (sanctum sanctorum).
Besides, the report also claimed that the cyclone Fani did no damage to Dadhi Nauti (the dome) of the temple.
The court has posted the next hearing on the case to September 16.
