Bhubaneswar: Concrete houses for 37 lakh more families in Odisha will soon be sanctioned by the government under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
“Altogether 37 lakh more families will be provided with concrete houses under the PMAY-G. The Centre has given its nod in this regard,” Odisha’s Panchayati Raj minister Rabi Narayan Naik said on Monday.
Naik informed he had held detailed discussions with the concerned Union Minister regarding allocation of concrete houses under the Central government scheme during his recent visit to New Delhi.
Naik said the concrete houses will be sanctioned by November, for which the scrutiny process has already started.
“The government will sanction the concrete houses by November this year. I have talked to the officials concerned in this regard. The scrutiny of around 4 lakh applications submitted through online mode is underway now. The officials will start scrutinisation of the offline applications soon,” the minister informed.
