New Delhi: There has been a gradual rise in the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in India. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s official website on Sunday put the number of confirmed cases at 107.
With 32 fresh cases, Maharashtra has surpassed Kerala in the count. Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune district detected five new cases late on Saturday night, a health official said.
The deadly virus has so far claimed two lives in the country.
In a positive development, 10 persons, who had tested positive for COVID-19, have recovered and discharged from hospital.
Meanwhile, three coronavirus suspected cases, who had fled Ahmednagar Civil Hospital on Saturday, returned to the facility early on Sunday. Three of four coronavirus suspects who ran away from Mayo Hospital in Nagpur have also returned.
