Bhubaneswar: The Congress on Saturday released its second list of candidates for nine Lok Sabha seats for the ensuing election in Odisha.
As per the list released by the All India Congress Committee (AICC), veteran leader Srikant Jena will contest from Balasore Lok Sabha seat. The BJP has nominated former Union Minister Pratap Sarangi for the seat. The BJD has given the ticket to Lekhashree Samantisnghar after she quit BJP and joined the ruling party.
The Congress has fielded Sucharita Mohanty for Puri and Yasir Nawaz for Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituencies. Nawaz will face the poll battle against BJP’s sitting MP Aparajita Sarangi and BJD’s Manmath Routray, the son of veteran Congress leader and Jatni MLA Suresh Routray.
