Bhubaneswar: Keeping in view the bandh call given by Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) and BJP state unit, the government on Tuesday declared holidays for all schools and colleges tomorrow for ensuring the safety of students.

The official notification released in this regard also stated that the examinations, if any, may be shifted to a suitable date.
The OPCC has called for a dawn-to-dusk statewide bandh while the state unit of BJP has decided to observe a hartal to protest against the death of Kunduli gangrape victim, who committed suicide on Monday.
On the other hand, BJD spokesperson Pratap Keshari Deb has slammed both the Congress and BJP for allegedly attempting to take political mileage out of the incident.
Meanwhile, the post-mortem of the victim was conducted at her village crematorium in presence of the local tehsildar and police.
