Cong Demands Reduction In Fuel Price, Threatens Odisha Bandh On Feb 15

Berhampur: The Congress said on Saturday it will call for Odisha bandh on February 15 if the Centre does not reduce price of fuel.

Addressing a party meeting here, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik said due to the steep hike in fuel price in Odisha, prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed.

He demanded fuel price has to be reduced by Rs 10 per litre, failing which Congress will go ahead with Odisha bandh on February 15.

Coming down heavily on the BJD government, Patnaik said that the ruling party in the last 20 years has done nothing in Odisha except opening liquor shops.

He also said that whatever developmental work has been done in Ganjam district till date, was during the Congress tenure.
