Bhubaneswar: With Odisha going for the last round of simultaneous elections on June 1, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi will again visit the state to address election meetings.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, AICC in-charge for Odisha Ajoy Kumar said the two senior leaders of the Congress will come to the state on separate days to attend public meetings at different places.
Kharge will arrive on May 29 and attend at an election meeting in Balasore at 11 am. He will then proceed to attend another poll meeting of the party in Bhadrak at 3 pm and then fly back.
Similarly, Rahul Gandhi will come on May 30 and attend a meeting at Sanamahitpur in Simulia of Balasore district at 11 am, said Kumar.
Notably, Rahul Gandhi had earlier campaigned twice in Odisha. He had launched election campaign for Congress in the state from Salipur in Cuttack district on April 28 and held an election rally in Balangir on May 15.
Similarly, Kharge had held a meeting and addressed a press conference in Bhubaneswar on May 16.
