Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has decided to stage a protest in front of Bargarh collector’s office from Friday over a range issues concerning farmers, including agricultural loan waiver.
In a press conference here on Thursday, OPCC President Prasad Harichandan expressed concern over the rising farmer suicides in Odisha. “Both the central and the state governments have been neglecting the demands of the farming community since long,” he said.
The party will continue the agitation till its genuine demands are met, Harichandan added.
