New Delhi: With an eye on the 2024 election, the Congress has released a list of coordinators for 539 Lok Sabha constituencies, including 21 in Odisha.
They are required to assess the political situation in their respective areas and give feedback to the leadership for seat-sharing talks in the INDIA bloc. In a post on X, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said, “The Congress party has just released the list of coordinators covering 539 Parliamentary constituencies with 4 more to come soon.”
Meanwhile, the Odisha unit of the party finalised its action plan for campaigning for upcoming polls during the two-day visit of Odisha in-charge Ajoy Kumar. Talks with INDIA constituents, the CPM, CPI and JMM, were formally launched on Sunday, while the joint campaigning with the parties will start from January 17.

A three-member committee headed by OPCC president Sarat Pattanayak was also announced to start the seat sharing discussions with the allies. The party will also start a 20-day long ‘Jana Sampark Bus Yatra’ in all 147 Assembly constituencies of the state from January 20. Senior leaders of the party will be part of the yatra, Pattanayak said.
