Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi Shares Truck Ride With Drivers To Hear Their ‘Mann Ki Baat’

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited truck drivers on Monday night to “know about their problems” and to listen to their “Mann ki Baat”.

In visuals tweeted by the party, Gandhi is seen sitting inside a truck, travelling with one of the drivers and speaking to truck drivers. Rahul Gandhi travelled to Chandigarh from Delhi with the drivers to understand the issues faced by them, the party said.

The Gandhi scion’s ride came after he spent a day with food delivery executive in Bengaluru. Rahul Gandhi’s video of him travelling in the truck has been going viral on social media.

During the ride, he conversed with the truck drivers and party workers claimed that he was speaking to them and listening to their issues and about their lives. In the viral video Gandhi can be seen climbing up the truck and sitting beside the driver and talking to him. The video was shot by a vehicle travelling parallelly.

Tweeting a video, the Congress party wrote, “Jannayak @RahulGandhi ji reached among the truck drivers to know their problems. Rahul ji traveled with him from Delhi to Chandigarh. According to media reports, there are about 90 lakh truck drivers on the Indian roads. They have their own problems. Rahul ji did the work of listening to his ‘Mann Ki Baat’.”

Rahul Gandhi also visited a Gurudwara and has been having multiple interactions with the people there after his long trip in a truck from Delhi to Chandigarh.

This trip comes after Rahul Gandhi’s recent trip on a public bus in Bengaluru. On May 8, two days before the Karnataka elections, he posted a Twitter video which showed him engaging with the general public while riding a bus in Bengaluru. Rahul rode a BMTC bus with other commuters.
