Bhubaneswar: With the last date for filing nominations for the ensuing by-election to Bijepur Assembly constituency in Odisha’s Bargarh district three days away, the Congress is most likely to announce its candidate on Saturday.
Sources in the party said that the 6-member candidate selection committee has recommended the name of Pranay Sahu and Ripunath Seth to AICC president Rahul Gandhi for the Bijepur by-poll.
The party would announce the name of its candidate after the selection of one of the candidates by the party high command, the sources added.
