Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on Friday said it would announce its candidate for the ensuing by-election to Bijepur Assembly constituency at the right time.
“The fact that the Bijepur seat was won by the Congress, I am sure that the people of this constituency will lend massive support to the party in this forthcoming by-poll, OPCC president Prasad Harichandan told media persons here.
Taking a dig at the BJD and the BJP, Harichandan said both the parties have left no stone unturned to influence the voters by luring them with money. Besides, they are busy in hiring goons and anti-socials to terrorize the voters.
