Bhubaneswar: President of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Mallikarjun Kharge will visit Odisha by January-end and address a mega rally in Bhubaneswar.
Preparations have begun and the venue of the rally is likely to be finalised in two days, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Sarat Pattanayak was quoted as saying by PTI on Sunday.
During his visit, Kharge will a series of meetings with senior state leaders, district and block presidents, and booth presidents to discuss the party’s strategy for the upcoming elections. He will also review the state unit’s readiness for the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra which will enter Odisha from Jharkhand and cover the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda next month.
It was earlier reported that Karge would visit Odisha on January 29 to address a workers’ conference.
The Congress chief recently met coordinators of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state in New Delhi and asked them to reach out to maximum number of voters in their areas.
