Congress Slams PM Modi During His Odisha Visit; Dubs BJP-BJD As Partners In ‘Corruption’

Bhubaneswar: Mounting a stinging attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Odisha visit on Tuesday, Congress alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) have colluded to encourage rampant corruption in the state.

Stating that CBI cases are pending against many bigwigs in the state, he said nothing is happening to them as the Centre is giving them protection.

The Congress leader sought to know whether the PM has the courage to face the families affected by the chit fund scam in Odisha and the answer questions about the mining scam in the state during BJD rule. It seems that the Modi government suppressing all the scams that BJD is involved in, he claimed.

“Modi government has been ruling the country for the last 10 years while his friend in Odisha for the last 24 years. However, what has happened to the chit fund scam?” Khera said.

Both the parties are looting the resources of the state putting the people into acute distress and all scams are being done in connivance with both BJD and BJP, the Congress leader claimed.
