Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) will expedite the membership drive in the state within a month.

Addressing a meeting of the party’s zonal presidents at the Congress Bhawan on the occasion of the 134th foundation day of the party, OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik asked the presidents to include at least 500 members in their respective zone within a month.

He also told them to complete the process of forming the remaining booth committees by January 5.

Besides, the OPCC president also advised them to visit each village in their zone and apprise the people of the failure of the state government and the Centre in uplifting the socio-economic condition of the poor people in rural areas.
