Constable Found Hanging In Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: A constable, working with Armed Police Reserve (APR), was found hanging from a banyan tree near MV-42 village in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Friday.

The deceased constable has been identified as Sushant Haldar, a native of Umerkote in Nabarangpur district. He had married at MV-42 village.

On being informed by local, police seized the body and sent it to the district headquarters hospital for postmortem. Some handwritten suicide notes were also recovered from him.

While it is being suspected that he died by suicide, the reason as to why he took the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, sources said.
