Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan paid tributes to BR Ambedkar on the occasion of Constitution Day in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
“Under the guidance of BR Ambedkar, 71 years ago, India’s Constitution was formed. Later Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared this day as the Constitution Day. This day is a matter of great pride for all citizens,” Pradhan was quoted as saying by ANI.
He made the remarks after laying a wreath at the statue of Ambedkar in the Odisha capital.
“Greetings to everyone on #ConstitutionDay. On this day, let us once again reiterate our commitment to uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution. May this day inspire everyone to live by the letter and spirit of our sacred Constitution,” he tweeted.
Constitution Day is celebrated on November 26 each year to mark the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly on this day in 1949.
