New Delhi: Japanese electronics maker AIWA is all set to start its second innings in India after a gap of 18 years.
The company will be launching Hi-Fi speakers in September, followed by air purifiers and TVs by the year-end.
AIWA India aims to become a billion-dollar business in the next 5 years. It is hoping for sales of around Rs 100 crore this year.
AIWA is expected to offer Japanese legacy at reasonable prices but won’t compete on prices.
It will manufacture TVs in India while audio products will be imported. Down the line, it will introduce compressor-based cooling products as well.
AIWA had soft-launched personal audio devices in April, 2021. It has partnered with Amazon and Reliance Digital and is expanding to other channels too.
