Bhubaneswar: A day after detection of the fourth coronavirus case in Odisha, the state government on Wednesday said that the State Police have begun a search operation to trace those who had come in contact with the 29-year-old youth of Bhadrak district.
Briefing mediapersons after a video conferencing of the Union Cabinet secretary, Home, Rajiv Gauba with the chief secretary Asit Tripathy at Lok Seva Bhawan here, officer on special duty (OSD) to the Chief Secretary Vishal Dev said arrangements have been made to keep these people in home quarantine.
He also said that the chief secretary requested the Union cabinet secretary for more kits and medical equipment to the state for conducting more numbers of COVID-19 tests.
Asked about the suggestion given by the cabinet secretary, Dev said the former told the chief secretary to strictly implement the lockdown guidelines and restrict entry of labourers from the neighbouring states.
