Sambalpur: Railway traffic between Sambalpur and Burla Road was hit after a container truck rammed into railway tracks near Laxmidungiri in the early hours of Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said the truck driver lost control of the vehicle along the hillside road running parallel to the railway track. As a result, the truck hit the side of the hill and then turned towards the railway tracks, ramming into it. The driver escaped unhurt as there was no train movement at that time.
Following information, railway officials rushed to the spot. Till reports last came in, efforts were on to remove the truck from the tracks.
