Dhenkanal: Kunjakanta area here has been declared as a containment zone for 10 days from December 1 to 10 after 33 students of a Plus 2 residential college in the area tested positive for COVID-19.
Dhenkanal Collector Saroj Kumar Sethy, in an order, imposed the restrictions. However, the order did not declare any buffer zone outside the containment zone.
Vehicular movement, both public and private, has been banned in the containment zone. Vehicles carrying essential items, medicines, ambulances, those ferrying health and sanitisation staff have been exempted.
Shops and businesses have been shut in the containment zone. Residents in the zone have been asked to stay indoors.
