Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Sunday night withdrew orders that placed the area around Pattapole under containment zone.
The area was declared as a containment zone on April 4 as a positive case was traced in this densely populated area which posed a risk of local transmission. The patient has also recovered from the disease.
Since all the samples of primary contacts and symptomatic cases from the containment zone have tested negative, it is hence understood that there is no local transmission in the zone, the CMC said in a statement.
In Bhubaneswar, all five containment zones – Surya Nagar, Satya Nagar, Bomikhal, Sundarpada and Begunia-Jadupur are currently active.
