A pastor in Andhra Pradesh is in the eye of a storm after his controversial comments went viral on social media.
Bible Open University International (BOUI) Deputy Director Pastor K Upendra Rao can be heard demanding division of India into two and seeking one part for Christians, timesnownews.com reported.
“Under the leadership of our beloved leader Mr PD Sundara Rao, we, on behalf of All India True Christian Council (AITCC) demand that India should be split into two, and one half should be given to Christians as a separate country. We will not bother you then,” the Pastor says in the video.
SC ST Rights Forum posted the video on its Twitter handle.
Pastor Upendra is the AITCC president for Telangana and Maharashtra.
Meanwhile a Kerala Bishop has issued a circular warning Christian families about “various groups” trying to trap girls and women from the community.
Bishop Joseph Kallangarat of Syro Malabar Catholic Church, Pala diocese sought to enlighten the community on how some groups have been looking to entrap young Christian women by befriending them through phone calls.
