Bhopal: Known to make comments which kick up a storm, Pragya Singh Thakur is at it again.
The BJP leader and Bhopal MP on Monday urged the Hindu community to “keep knives sharp” because they have the right to respond to those who attack them and their dignity.
“Keep weapons in your homes, if nothing else, at least knives used to cut vegetables, sharp… Don’t know what situation will arise when… Everyone has the right to self protection. If someone infiltrates our house and attacks us, giving a befitting reply is our right,” said Sadhvi Pragya, also known as Sadhvi Pragya, while speaking at Hindu Jagarana Vedike’s south region annual convention in Karnataka’s Shivamogga.
She was referring to the killing of Hindus activists, including Harsha of Shivamogga.
“Love jihad, they have a tradition of jihad, if nothing they do love jihad. Even if they love, they do jihad in that. We (Hindus) too love, love God, a sanyasi (hermit) loves his God,” said Pragya, who termed Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse as a patriot.
“Sanyasi says in this world created by God, end all oppression and sin, otherwise the true definition of love will not survive here. So answer those involved in love jihad the same way. Protect your girls, teach them the right values,” she lectured.
Advising parents not to send their children to missionary institutions, the cow urine advocate argued by doing that “you will open the doors of old-aged homes for yourselves.”
Instead, Sadhvi told parents to perform puja at home, read about dharma (religion) and shastra (weapon).
“Teach your children about it, so that children know about our culture and values,” she added.
