Ahmedabad: Odisha posted one of their biggest wins in Cooch Behar (U-19) Trophy as they thrashed Manipur by an innings and 303 runs with a day and a half to spare.
Odisha declared their first innings closed at a mammoth 527/7 on the morning of Day 3. Trailing by 417 runs, Manipur capitulated once again and were bowled out for 114 in the second innings.
Ritesh Priyaranjan was Odisha’s best bowler again, bagging 4/14 in 8 overs. In Manipur’s first innings, Ritesh had registered figures of 4/9 to skittle out the opposition for 110.
Odisha resumed their first innings at 472/6 on Monday with Mohammad Sohail Khan and Shresth Singh extending their eighth-wicket partnership to 114 runs. Skipper Saideep Mohapatra declared the innings after the dismissal of Sohail, who fell for 88. Shresth remained unbeaten on 55.
