Ahmedabad: Odisha batsmen made merry at the expense of Manipur bowlers in their Cooch Behar (U-19) trophy match on Sunday.
Having skittled out Manipur for 110 on Day 1, Odisha piled up 472/6 by stumps on the second day.
Odisha resumed their first innings at 167 without loss this morning, Aashirwad Swain fell for 89 after adding just 7 runs. His fellow-opener Dibyajyoti Pattanaik completed his century before being run out for 113.
But there was no respite for Manipur bowlers as skipper Saideep Mohapatra (87), Md Sohail Khan (61*) and Shreyansh Bhardwaj (52) joined the run feast.
With two days left in the match, Odisha will be pressing for an innings victory. They already have a , lead of 362 runs.
