Berhampur: Police on Wednesday recovered 500 gm gold, out of one kg gold stolen by a cook from a businessman’s house at Patarasahi under Bada Bazar police limits in Ganjam district. Berhampur police also recovered Rs 8.5 lakh cash from the cook, identified as Sraban Kumar. The police arrested the accused from Rajasthan.
According to sources, Sraban stole more than one kg gold and Rs 15 lakh cash from the businessman’s house some days back. The businessman belongs to Rajasthan and does gold business in Berhampur.
