Bhubaneswar: A cook of a roadside hotel on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar was allegedly hacked to death following a dispute with the eatery owner.
According to sources, the cook, Santosh Sahu, was working in the hotel located close to Nandankanan Zoo near Bhubaneswar for the last 8 years.
Following a dispute with hotel owner Babuli Majhi over an unknown issue on Sunday, Santosh had called up his wife, who had gone outside Bhubaneswar, and informed her that he was going to his village in Keonjhar district.
On Monday morning, she was informed by Babuli over phone that Santosh was not well and was admitted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. When she rushed to the hospital, Santosh was dead.
She filed a complaint at Nandankanan police station alleging that Santosh was murdered as she had found injury marks on his body. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
