Cop Missing For 15 Years Found Begging On Gwalior Streets

Gwalior: Two Madhya Pradesh cops, while on election duty here, found their colleague begging on the streets after having disappeared 15 years ago. The missing cop was found mentally disturbed, according to news agency IANS.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ratnesh Singh Tomar and his colleague Vijay Bhadoriya were on duty for the by-polls for last few days.

On November 10, the day of counting, when both the policemen were passing through Jhansi Road, they noticed a middle-aged beggar shivering in cold on the footpath.

With the intent to help, the officers stepped out of their vehicle. Ratnesh gave his shoes to the beggar while Vijay offered him his jacket while having some conversations with the beggar.

After the conversation, things took a turn. The officers realised that the beggar was their former colleague Manish Mishra.

Mishra was a police officer and an able shooter. Having joined the police service in 1999, he had served as the station in-charge in several police stations across the state. During his service in 2005, Mishra lost his mental balance and suddenly disappeared.

Even after persuasions, Mishra was reluctant to come with the cops and then he was handed over to social welfare organisation, where he is being taken care of.
