Cop Suspended For ‘Masturbating’ Before Woman Complainant; Video Goes Viral

Deoria: Station House Officer(SHO) of Bhatni Police Station, Uttar Pradesh, was suspended for allegedly masturbating before a woman complainant inside a police station here, on Wednesday.

According to an India Today report, the cop had been continuously harassing the woman who went to lodge a complaint regarding a land dispute. Fed up with the repeated misbehaviour, she recorded the incident and shared it on social media.

After the video went viral, locals demanded action against the officer.

“An FIR has been registered against him and he has been suspended. Action is being taken,” India Today quoted Deoria SP as saying.

The complainant woman reportedly said, “I ignored his misbehaviour for the first 2-3 times and wanted him to lodge our case in the land dispute. But then a woman relative said that she also faced a similar incident at the hands of this officer, I decided to film him.”

The reports further stated that the errant officer was earlier suspended from Salempur Kotwali police station after two days of his transfer in the area.
