Cops Detain BJP Campaign Vehicles In Bijepur

Bijepur: With few days to go for the Bijepur-bypoll, tension prevailed in the area on Sunday night when a few BJP vehicles bound for campaign were detained by the cops.

As per information, around 15 vehicles were accompanying the carcade of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who addressed a host of public meetings on Sunday. When the carcade was on its way to Jaring, the police let go of only three vehicles and detained the rest.

“We were checking if the vehicles have necessary permission. Only three of the vehicles in the carcade had passes, the rest were detained for verification,” a police official said.

In another case of separate incident pertaining to BJP, the party Krushak Morcha Vice President Gourahari Misra, Executive Member of the SC Morcha Pramod Chhatar were suspended for anti-party activities.
