Bhubaneswar: Two ITIs in Odisha have come up with innovative face mask and hand sanitizer machine at a reasonable cost.
The Government ITI in Raighar block of Nabarangpur district has produce face mask which can give protection from forehead to neck from being infected by coronavirus. The trainers of the ITI have used transparent plastic sheet, 29 cm elastic, gum and sponge to prepare the mask which can be available at around Rs 18.
All 100 masks produced by the institute were distributed among police and health personnel, the trainers said.
Similarly, Malkangiri ITI trainers have devised a hand washing machine which can be used with feet instead of hands. Since a santizer at any place is handled by many people leaving a scope for corona infection, the machine can be helpful at the present time, the trainers of the institute said.
Around Rs 1,000 has been spent in making the machine, the trainers said.
