Puri: In the wake of the coronavirus scare gripping Odisha, the Puri district administration has decided to keep all its offices open on holidays till March 31, official sources said.
No government official can leave his or her headquarters without permission, sources informed.
On Saturday, Puri Collector Balwant Singh had appealed to people to stay away from the district, which has one of the major Hindu pilgrimage centres in the 12th century Jagannath Temple and attractive tourist spots like Sun Temple, Konark, for some time unless there is urgent work. He also declared that entry of tourist-reserved buses would temporarily be denied.
