Bhubaneswar: To check the spread of COVID-19, the Central Electricity Supply Utility (CESU) has decided to shut all its collection counters in Khurda, Kendrapara, Angul and Puri Municipality areas from March 23 to 29.
“This has been decided to prevent spread of Covid-19 by maintaining social distancing,” a press note issued by CESU on Sunday said.
It has urged consumers to make all the payments online.
The offices in those districts, however, will remain open for smooth operation of all the sub-stations and distribution networks, so that it can provide uninterrupted supply of electricity to all its consumers, it added.
