Bhubaneswar: Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC have been clamped in Bhadrak, Kandhamal and Gajapati districts of Odisha to prevent mass congregation of people in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Public gathering and organising socio-cultural events have also been banned in these districts.
Section 144 was earlier imposed in Keonjhar, Ganjam, Jajpur, Balangir and Paradip town. The prohibitory orders are also in force at some places in Puri, which witnesses mass congregation like beaches.
