New Delhi: With 227 people testing positive in the last 24 hours, India witnessed a sharp rise in coronavirus cases on Tuesday, totaling to 1251.
Delhi saw the biggest jump from 25 to 97 cases.
Over 300 people have been taken to different hospitals in Delhi for COVID-19 examinations after seven persons (4- Telangana and 1- J&K) died and four others tested positive after attending a mosque gathering here. It had visitors from Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan.
According to latest data released by the Health Ministry, 32 have succumbed to the killer virus while 102 have recovered from the infection.
