The beaches and hotels are empty due to COVID-19.
Puri: After clamping Section 144 on Puri beaches, the district administration on Wednesday asked tourists to check out of the different hotels they have been staying in the Pilgrim Town within two days.
Member of Hotel Association along with the district administration took the decision as a precaution to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“We have asked hotel owners to inform the visitors about the current situation and request them to leave Puri,” Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Bijay Kumar Dash said.
It was also decided that no new bookings will be entertained till April 15, he added.
Odisha has so far reported one confirmed case of coronavirus.
