Puri: A minor girl from Lithuania was admitted in the isolation ward in the District Headquarters Hospital here on Saturday.
According to reports, the minor girl, her mother and a relative had come to Puri on a 15-day tour and were staying at a hotel in Chakratirtha area.
As the girl was suffering from cough and cold with acute chest pain for the last two weeks, her mother had taken her to a private hospital. However, the doctors referred her to DHH where the doctors admitted her to the isolation ward suspecting that she might be afflicted with coronavirus.
“We diagnosed the ailing girl and found her suffering from an acute cold. But as she is a foreign national, we have kept her in the isolation ward. We will send her blood and swab samples for a test for confirmation,” doctors told the media here.
