Coronavirus Scare: Two Admitted To Isolation Ward In Different Hosps In Odisha

Sambalpur: A youth from Sonepur district was admitted to the isolation ward of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla on Wednesday after he complained of prolonged cough and cold.

Informing the media, VIMSAR associate professor Dr Sudarshan Pothal said that the condition of the youth is stable. “The youth had returned from Dubai on February 27. As he had touched other countries where some people were afflicted with the Coronavirus, we admitted him to the isolation ward. His swab and blood samples have been sent to the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) in Bhubaneswar,” he added.

Apart from this, another person suffering from prolonged cold and cough has been admitted to the isolation ward in the district headquarters hospital in Keonjhar, reports said.
