Bhubaneswar: In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, the Odisha government has ordered for closure of the two planetariums and a museum till March 31.
Informing the media here on Saturday, deputy director of Pathani Samanta Planetarium, Subhendu Patnaik said the state government has directed to shut down the planetarium in Bhubaneswar and APJ Kalam Planetarium in Burla. Besides, the Pathani Samanta Museum at Khandapada in Nayayagarh district will also remain closed. “The date for reopening these two planetariums and the museum will be decided later,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Central Zoo Authority (CZA) has directed the authorities of all zoos and biological parks in the country, including the Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar, to conduct a thorough screening of all visitors and ensure proper sanitation on the zoo premises as a preventive measure.
