Bhubaneswar: The Central Government has imposed a ban on export of some brands of alcohol-based hand sanitizers after revision of foreign trade policy.
According to a notification of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the alcohol based hand sanitizers under ITCHS code ex3004, ex3401, ex3402 and 380894 are prohibited from export. The Government issued the order following amendments of its earlier notification on March 23.
However, all other items falling under these codes are exempted from prohibition and can be exported.
