Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not celebrate Holi this year as a precautionary measure against the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Chief Minister’s Office announced on Saturday.
Earlier on Friday, there was a similar announcement on curtailment of Holi celebrations by Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal.
Officials said the Governor will not participate in any “Holi Milan” celebrations. He will be avoiding mass gathering as advised by the government to avoid the risk of getting affected by the virus.
The Governor has also stressed on spreading awareness about COVID-19 among the people across the state.
