Puri: Three persons, including a couple, were killed after being run over by a speeding passenger bus in Odisha’s Puri on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Satyanarayan Das (55) and his wife Gayatree Das (50) of Chhatrapur, and Rakesh Nanda of Puri.
According to sources, Satyanarayan and his wife had come to Puri to attend their nephew’s ring ceremony at a temple. The mishap took place when they were returning on a two-wheeler with their nephew’s friend Rakesh.
The victims were proceeding towards the national highway when the bus dashed against the two-wheeler.
The driver of the bus surrendered before the police after the accident. Police have started an investigation after registering a case
