Bargarh: A man and his wife died after the motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a car at Sarandapali village under Barpali block of Odisha’s Bargarh district on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Ram Sahu and his wife Santoshini Sahu of Keseipali village under Bijepur block of the district. The accident took place while they were on their way to attend a wedding function at Patharla in Bargarh.
Ganesh died on the spot while Santoshini succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital.
Police have detained the car driver, identified as Rahul Goyal, for questioning.
