Couple Dies By Suicide Over Conjugal Problems In Odisha’s Koraput

Koraput: In a tragic incident, a man and his wife allegedly committed suicide one after another inside their house in Odisha’s Koraput district on Thursday.

According to sources, the incident took place in Bamuniputara of Jeypore town in the district. Sukana Saura, belonging to Bamuniputara, had married Sumitra a year back. A few months after the marriage, the couple developed difference over some issues. They used to engage in arguments regularly, the sources said.

The couple had an argument and could be heard shouting at each other on Wednesday night, their neighbours said. They were found dead on Thursday morning. Both of them had hanged themselves inside the house.

On being informed, a team from Jeypore police station went to the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. They suspected that one of them might have taken the extreme step, leading the other partner to kill himself or herself.
