Malkangiri: A couple was found dead near MV-70 village under Kalimela police station limits in Malkangiri district on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Ganesh and Nilima Ghosh.
The bodies were spotted lying on the embankment of a canal by villagers, who informed the police and the victims’ family members about the same.
According to police sources, the duo hailing from MV-37 village in the district had gone missing from Saturday.
The bodies have been seized. The reason behind their death will be ascertained after receiving the post-mortem report, the police said.
However, locals suspect were allegedly murdered over past enmity.
